Air Ticketing and Travel Agencies(Only an organization can apply)
Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA)About This Role
This is not a standard employment vacancy but a call for organizations to register as pre-qualified vendors for air ticketing and travel services with NEWA. The role suits established travel agencies or service providers capable of handling bookings and logistics for a women’s rights network operating across Ethiopia. As a national NGO coordinating over 50 member associations, NEWA likely requires reliable, ethical travel partners who understand the sector’s sensitivity around cost-efficiency and mission alignment.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The listing implies NEWA is seeking agencies with proven experience in managing travel for NGOs or similar organizations, not just general ticketing skills. They likely prioritize providers who can demonstrate transparency in pricing, ability to handle last-minute changes common in advocacy work, and familiarity with routes to regional offices and project sites. A track record of compliance with NGO procurement policies and gender-sensitive service delivery would strengthen your application.
How to Approach This Application
Focus on showcasing your agency’s experience with non-profit travel logistics, including sample itineraries for field missions or conference travel. Emphasize your capacity to offer competitive rates, emergency support, and clear invoicing—key concerns for donor-funded organizations. Highlight any partnerships with Ethiopian Airlines or regional carriers, and mention if your team has experience coordinating travel for women’s rights events or rural outreach.
Who This Role Suits
This opportunity is best for established travel agencies in Addis Ababa with NGO clientele, and competition will be moderate as NEWA seeks a reliable, ethical partner rather than the lowest bidder.

NEWA’s advocacy, networking, and operational interventions refer to its efforts in influencing policies and decision-making processes, strengthening collaboration among member organizations and stakeholders, and implementing programs and activities that promote gender equality and women’s rights.
