Kedamijobs (“we”, “us”) operates the kedamijobs.com website and related candidate/employer tools. This policy explains what personal data we collect from visitors and registered users, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Account & profile: When you register we collect your name, email address, password hash (never the plain password), account type (candidate or employer), and verification status. Candidates may add phone numbers, sector preferences, profile photos, and CV metadata.
CVs & applications: Files you upload (PDF/Word), filenames you assign, and application records (job id, employer code, timestamps) are stored so employers can review submissions.
Job alerts: Email addresses and selected alert categories from the jobs page form.
Contact form: Name, email, phone, message content, and technical metadata needed to deliver the message (IP address, user agent) for abuse prevention.
Usage & security logs: Standard web server logs (IP, requested URL, timestamps) and session identifiers required to keep you signed in.
Job search activity: Query keywords you submit through our search endpoints (stored in logs or analytics aggregates, not sold to data brokers).

3. How we use your data

Authenticate users, reset passwords, and prevent fraud.
Display job listings, employer dashboards, and candidate profiles according to your settings.
Deliver job alert emails and essential service notices (for example verification or security warnings).
Respond to support requests sent via the contact page or email.
Maintain site reliability, debug errors, and monitor for policy violations.

4. Legal bases (summary)

Where GDPR-style rules apply, we rely on contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing the platform, understanding aggregate usage), and consent (optional marketing or non-essential cookies when we request it).

5. Storage & retention

Data is stored on servers and databases controlled by Kedamijobs or our hosting providers. We retain account information while your profile remains active. CVs and application history are kept for as long as needed for recruitment workflows or legal compliance, after which they may be anonymised or deleted upon request.

Contact form submissions are retained long enough to resolve your inquiry unless a longer period is required for disputes or legal holds.

6. Sharing with third parties

Employers: When you apply, the receiving organisation can see the application package you submit through Kedamijobs.
Google Sign-In: If you choose Google authentication, Google shares basic profile elements with us according to your Google permissions. We use that data only to operate accounts as described in our Terms.
Google AdSense: Advertisements may be shown via Google’s ad network, which can set cookies or read identifiers subject to Google’s advertising policies.
Telegram: If you join our public Telegram channel, your interaction is governed by Telegram’s privacy policy; we do not receive your private chats from Telegram beyond what you voluntarily send us.
Analytics: If we enable Google Analytics or similar tools, they process aggregated usage data under their own policies.
Processors: Infrastructure or email vendors may access limited data solely to host or deliver messages on our instructions.

We do not sell personal information and we do not allow purchased marketing lists on the platform.

7. Cookies & similar technologies

Our servers may be located outside Ethiopia while serving Ethiopian users. By using the service you acknowledge that necessary transfers may occur with appropriate safeguards (such as contractual clauses with vendors).
