Job Summary:
We are looking for Cashier who will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth financial transactions within the establishment. Primary responsibility will be to accurately process customer orders, handle payments, and maintain a friendly and efficient checkout process. Additionally, the cashier will collaborate with other team members to uphold the overall operational efficiency and positive customer experience in the café or restaurant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide recommendations and upsell items to enhance the customer's dining experience.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Accurately input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ensure that orders are prepared and served promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate order fulfillment.
- Receive and process customer payments using various payment methods, such as cash, credit cards, or digital wallets.
- Issue receipts and provide correct change to customers.
- Maintain an organised and secure cash register.
- Keep accurate records of daily transactions and reconcile them at the end of each shift.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to the management team as required.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address any issues related to customer orders or payments.
- Ensure that the cashier area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Follow established protocols for handling food, beverages, and customer transactions.
- Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and cohesive work environment.
- Support colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a teamwork-driven atmosphere.
- Handle returns and refunds in accordance with company policies.

- Follow established procedures for depositing cash and securing funds
- Perform related tasks as per the immediate supervisor's request.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Accounting & Finance or equivalent with an experience in Cafe.
