About This Role

This is more than a standard driving position—it is a logistical backbone role for a three-year agricultural development project. Based at Alage ATVT College and operating across field sites, you will be responsible for safely moving staff and materials while supporting the implementation of a partnership involving The Donkey Sanctuary and the Ministry of Labour and Skills. It suits a disciplined, experienced driver who thrives in a structured, mission-driven environment rather than a fast-paced commercial transport setting.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

While the listing asks for 3-5 years of experience, the real implication is that the employer is looking for a driver who understands the demands of rural field work and can handle irregular terrain, long hours, and minimal supervision. A clean driving record and basic mechanical troubleshooting ability are likely assumed, but the emphasis will be on reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude—especially since you will be representing a multi-stakeholder project. Flexibility for extended stays at project sites is probably a hidden requirement.

How to Approach This Application

Your application should highlight proven experience in field-based or project support driving, not just city routes or passenger transport. Emphasize any familiarity with agricultural or rural settings, as well as a track record of maintaining vehicle logs and performing basic preventive maintenance. Since this is a partnership project, demonstrating respect for safety protocols and the ability to work courteously with diverse teams (including international partners) will set you apart.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

This role is best suited for a driver with at least 3 years of field experience who values stability over hustle—it offers a fixed-term contract with clear responsibilities and a supportive institutional setting. Competition will be moderate, as the position demands specific rural logistics experience.
