About This Role
This role places you at the heart of rural infrastructure development, operating heavy machinery for a respected humanitarian foundation. It is not just about driving; it involves logistical coordination and ensuring materials reach remote project sites efficiently. The position suits an experienced driver who is comfortable working in challenging, off-road conditions and contributing to community upliftment rather than commercial transport.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The requirement for a BA or Diploma in Accounting alongside driving experience is unusual and telling. It suggests the organization values drivers who can also handle basic documentation, fuel tracking, or trip reporting. The 4-year minimum signals they want someone with proven reliability and problem-solving skills in rural logistics, not just city driving.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize any experience you have with vehicle maintenance logs, fuel consumption reporting, or inventory management. Highlight your familiarity with the specific terrains of Gamo Zone or South Wollo. Since this is a contract role with a foundation, stress your punctuality, safety record, and ability to work with minimal supervision in remote settings.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited for a disciplined, multi-skilled driver with some administrative aptitude and a desire to contribute to rural development. Competition will be moderate, given the unique qualification blend.
