About This Role
This role anchors the financial backbone of a growing multi-outlet restaurant operation in Addis Ababa. It suits a finance professional who thrives on operational complexity—balancing central office oversight with hands-on coordination across individual outlets. The position demands someone who can translate financial data into actionable strategies for cost control and profitability in a competitive hospitality market.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The employer is seeking a hybrid profile: a strategic planner who is equally comfortable managing daily accounting workflows and conducting deep-dive profitability analyses. The emphasis on variance analysis and outlet-level performance suggests the company values proactive problem-solving over routine reporting. Experience with multi-location businesses, especially in hospitality or retail, will likely be a decisive advantage.
How to Approach This Application
Tailor your application to demonstrate how you’ve improved financial performance across multiple business units, not just maintained records. Highlight specific examples of budgeting, cost optimization, or regulatory compliance in Ethiopia’s food service or retail sectors. Emphasize your ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance managers—restaurant owners and outlet heads will depend on your clarity.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for a seasoned finance manager with 5+ years in multi-site operations, particularly in hospitality or FMCG. Expect moderate competition, as the hospitality sector in Addis is growing but specialized talent with this exact mix of skills is harder to find.
