About This Role
This is a hands-on clinical nursing role within a specialized rehabilitation center, blending direct patient care with surgical assistance and patient education. Working under Cheshire Ethiopia, a respected NGO focused on disability inclusion, the position suits an experienced nurse who is comfortable working in a structured, multi-disciplinary environment outside of Addis Ababa.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The listing calls for a mid-level professional with 3–5 years of experience, which suggests the employer values practical competence over academic credentials alone. The emphasis on a renewed professional license and supervision of clinic hygiene implies that regulatory compliance and infection control are non-negotiable priorities.
How to Approach This Application
Highlight any prior experience in ophthalmic procedures, such as vision testing or assisting in eye surgeries, and be specific about your familiarity with patient education around post-operative or chronic eye conditions. The employer likely prioritizes candidates who can demonstrate both clinical precision and the ability to manage day-to-day clinic operations independently.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a licensed nurse with solid ophthalmic experience who is ready to relocate to Hawassa and work within a structured NGO setting. Competition is moderate, as specialized eye care roles in regional centers attract fewer applicants than general nursing positions in Addis.
