Printing and Advertising Service Providers (Only an organization can apply)
Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA)About This Role
This is not a standard employment opportunity but a call for organizations to register as pre-qualified vendors for printing and advertising services with NEWA. The role involves becoming a trusted service partner for a major national women’s rights network, handling materials that support advocacy, awareness campaigns, and operational documentation. It suits established businesses or cooperatives with experience in graphic design, printing, and media placement, particularly those aligned with social development messaging. NEWA is building a long-term supplier pool, so this is about securing recurring contracts rather than a single project.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The call targets organizations, not individuals, implying that NEWA values institutional capacity, reliability, and the ability to scale services. Requirements likely include business registration, tax compliance, relevant licenses, and a track record in printing or advertising — but the emphasis is on quality assurance and timely delivery. The focus on "pre-qualification" means NEWA wants vendors who can handle sensitive, gender-equality messaging with professionalism and cultural awareness.
How to Approach This Application
Your proposal should highlight your organization’s experience with NGOs or development projects, especially those focused on women’s rights or social issues. Emphasize your capacity for consistent quality, turnaround time, and ability to handle bulk orders or rapid deadlines. Since NEWA is a network, mention any past collaboration with member associations. Include samples of work that demonstrate clear, impactful communication — avoid generic corporate materials. Ensure your business registration and tax clearance documents are current and well-organized.
Who This Role Suits
This is best suited for established Ethiopian printing and advertising firms or social enterprises with a portfolio in development communications. Competition will be moderate, as many local vendors target NGO contracts, but NEWA’s focus on gender equity may favor organizations with a demonstrated commitment to social causes.
Background
The Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, non-governmental national network established in 2003. NEWA brings together over 50 member associations/ organizations collectively working to advance gender equality and women’s rights across Ethiopia.
NEWA’s advocacy, networking, and operational interventions refer to its efforts in influencing policies and decision-making processes, strengthening collaboration among member organizations and stakeholders, and implementing programs and activities that promote gender equality and women’s rights.
To strengthen operational efficiency and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery, NEWA is establishing a comprehensive vendor database of pre-qualified service providers.
