About This Role
This is a strategic HR leadership role within a growing Ethiopian general business conglomerate. It goes beyond routine personnel administration to focus on aligning human resource functions with the company’s broader commercial objectives. The role suits an experienced HR professional who can bridge operational execution with high-level planning, particularly in recruitment, compliance, and organizational culture.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The employer is seeking a seasoned HR generalist who can independently drive strategy rather than simply execute tasks. The emphasis on labor law compliance and conflict resolution suggests a need for someone who can navigate Ethiopia’s regulatory environment and maintain workplace stability. The “senior” designation implies candidates must have a track record of managing cross-functional teams and advising senior leadership, not just handling payroll or attendance.
How to Approach This Application
Highlight your experience in designing and implementing HR strategies that directly impacted business performance, such as improved retention or streamlined recruitment. Emphasize concrete examples of leading employee engagement initiatives or resolving complex workplace disputes. Given the company’s general business nature, showing adaptability across diverse operations (e.g., retail, logistics, or manufacturing) will strengthen your application.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for an HR professional with 5–8 years of experience who thrives in a dynamic, multi-sector environment and can balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving. Competition will be moderate, as it requires a rare blend of senior-level expertise and local regulatory knowledge.
