Assistant Teacher

Provides crucial support to the lead teacher in a kindergarten classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. Their responsibilities include assisting with classroom setup, preparing materials, supporting student learning, and supervising children during various activities. They play a vital role in ensuring students' safety, well-being, and academic progress.

• Classroom Management and Support:
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons, including organizing materials and setting up learning centers. 
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment. 
  • Assist with classroom organization and tidying up after activities. 
  • Monitor student behavior and help maintain classroom discipline. 
• Student Support:
  • Assist individual students or small groups with their learning activities. 
  • Provide extra support to students with special needs or those who require additional help. 
  • Help students with tasks like reading, writing, and math, as directed by the teacher. 
  • Supervise students during playtime, lunch, and other non-instructional activities. 
• Instructional Support:
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and activities. 
  • Help prepare materials for lessons, such as art supplies, worksheets, and manipulatives. 
  • Contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning experience for all students. 
• Record Keeping and Communication:
  • Help maintain student records and track their progress. 
  • Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns. 
• Other Duties:
  • Assist with snack and lunch preparation, as needed. 
  • Ensure students board the correct buses at the end of the day. 

Diploma in Early Childhood Education form Debrebrehan or Kotebe Teachers Training College or BA Degree in any Field of study
