OLA Energy Ethiopia Limited is a Company engaged in the distribution of Oil and Gas Products in Ethiopia. We would like to recruit an Expenditure Accountant, who can join our diverse and talented Finance team. We offer an environment where development, challenge, and recognition are encouraged. Here is what we are looking for.
Major duties and accountabilities:
Ensure that Head Office REVEX disbursements are certified for accuracy, completeness and capture them on the system before they are passed for payment.
Make sure that payroll variable inputs are checked with the produced by the system before monthly process.
Pass adjusting journal entries as and when requested.
Ensure that all accounts under our own responsibility are reconciled and old items are cleared.
Prepare closing journal vouchers for accruals and other accounts for subsequent data entry into the G/L Systems.
Witnessing the physical stock at materials store on a quarterly basis and updating inventory system, follow up clearance of differences, if any.
Assists the section in the monthly closing.
Competencies/Skills needed
Ability to work under pressure
Having good analytical skills
Very good team player
Knowledge of the use of computers, i.e., MS Word and MS-Excel
Good communication skills
Experience in accounting and financial systems is advantageous
Trained on IFRS is advantageous
Qualifications requirements
Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field of studies from a recognized college/university
3 years’ experience in areas related to accountant and related areas.
Language Requirements (Essential):
Essential: Proficiency in English and Amharic
Salary: As per the Company’s scale
