Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to support our Company’s financial operations. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while contributing to process enhancements and audit preparedness. 

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The position involves regular financial reporting, reconciliation, audit support, and contributing to improved financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with reporting requirements

• Execute closing activities including reconciliations and adjustments

• Ensure timely and compliant tax filings and statutory reports

• Review financial data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis

• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and recommend internal control improvements

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities with relevant financial data

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent financial reporting

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, demonstrating proficiency in financial operations

• Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

• High level of integrity and confidentiality

• Proficiency in accounting software packages is desirable
