About This Role
This is not a routine accounting role—it sits at the intersection of financial strategy and deal execution within Ethiopia’s first private investment bank. You will work directly under the Chief Investment & Advisory Officer, structuring capital, valuing businesses, and advising high-value clients on transactions. It suits a finance professional who enjoys analytical depth and client-facing advisory work, particularly someone interested in the growing investment banking ecosystem in Ethiopia.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The role demands more than technical accounting skills—it seeks someone who can think like an advisor, not just a processor. The emphasis on experience with valuation, capital structuring, and transaction support suggests the employer values practical exposure to live deals, not just theoretical knowledge. You are expected to bring a blend of financial modeling rigor and the ability to communicate complex ideas to senior decision-makers.
How to Approach This Application
Focus your application on specific transaction or advisory experience—mention any deals, valuations, or capital structuring projects you have led or contributed to. Highlight your comfort with client interaction and your ability to work under the pressure of deal timelines. The employer likely prioritizes candidates who can demonstrate both technical precision and commercial judgment, so include concrete examples of how your work directly influenced financial decisions.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a finance professional with 3–5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, who thrives in a high-stakes, client-driven environment. Given the niche nature of the position and the prestige of the employer, it is likely to be competitive among experienced candidates in Addis Ababa.
