Dodai is a fast growing organization with a mission of making e-mobility accessible to everyone in Africa through its innovative products and services. Dodai plans to provide brand new electric two wheelers by assembling them here in Addis Ababa and plans to expand to major regional cities in Ethiopia by the end of 2026.
Purpose of the Position
The Field Marketing Representative (Field Marketer) at Dodai Manufacturing Plc is an essential, customer-facing member of our commercial team, dedicated to driving high-intent customer traffic into our showrooms. This role is responsible for actively engaging prospective commercial riders, delivery businesses, and individual commuters to qualify their transport needs and secure formal showroom visit appointments. Operating on a performance-driven structure, this position offers an excellent opportunity for high-energy individuals to gain robust experience in professional sales pipelines and data-driven lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Field Execution
- Proactively survey and engage prospects in designated high-density commercial zones, targeting ICE bike riders, independent couriers, and delivery business owners.
- Execute the FAST (Finance, Authority, Scheduling, Usage Profile) qualification framework during pitches to filter for high-intent prospects.
- Secure firm appointments for showroom visits, ensuring conversion from casual contact to scheduled interest.
Operations & Performance
- Report daily to assigned showrooms for morning alignment briefings and evening performance reconciliations.
- Utilize lead forms for clean, real-time data entry, capturing necessary field metrics and GPS stamping.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily targets of 10 qualified leads and 3 showroom visits while maintaining an 80%+ lead validity rate.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate closely with paired showroom Sales Representatives to ensure seamless lead handovers and immediate follow-ups.
- Provide real-time market insights and feedback regarding common prospect objections to the marketing and sales teams.
Brand Representation & Professionalism
- Maintain a high-energy, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times, acting as the primary face of the Dodai brand on the street.
- Adhere strictly to all company operational protocols, uniform standards, and attendance policies.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (relevant practical field experience will be highly considered).
- 0- 6 Month Prior experience in field sales, street promotions, direct marketing, or customer service environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Amharic and professional fluency or basic conversational skills in English.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal abilities, with a natural talent for breaking the ice and capturing the attention of busy commuters.
- Familiarity with Google workspace tools and basic smartphone navigation for real-time data entry.
- Resilience to comfortably work outdoors in a fast-paced field environment throughout the day.
- High level of personal accountability, self-motivation, and a results-oriented mindset to hit daily performance targets.
- Excellent time-management habits to balance morning standups, field hours, and afternoon showroom handovers.
