About This Role
This is a field-based logistics role with a major international faith-based humanitarian organization operating in Tigray. You will be the procurement and logistics backbone for program operations in Adwa, ensuring that supplies and services reach where they are needed most. It suits experienced logistics professionals who can work independently in a challenging operational environment and thrive on maintaining compliance under pressure.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The employer is looking for someone who can uphold strict procurement standards in a complex humanitarian setting, not just a routine buyer. The emphasis on the "six rights of supply" suggests they need a detail-oriented professional who can balance speed with accountability. Experience with donor-funded projects or NGO logistics systems is likely valued more than general corporate procurement background.
How to Approach This Application
In your application, highlight specific examples where you managed procurement in resource-constrained or emergency contexts. Emphasize your understanding of compliance, documentation, and asset tracking. Mention any familiarity with donor regulations or logistics software. Showing you can work with minimal supervision in a field location like Adwa will strengthen your candidacy. The employer prioritizes integrity, transparency, and the ability to follow policies to the letter.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for a mid-career logistics professional who values structure and is comfortable working in a remote field office. Competition will be moderate, as the location and sector-specific requirements narrow the applicant pool.
