Job Purpose

The Move Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and expanding Safe Zone Logistics’ Moving & Relocation department. This is a senior leadership role overseeing marketing, sales, and operational execution, with a strong mandate to build and develop a high-performing team, design systems and SOPs, drive revenue growth, and ensure high-quality service delivery for both domestic and international relocation projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Department Structuring & Growth

  • Assess and improve the current Moving & Relocation department structure, workflows, and reporting lines
  • Standardize and enhance existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistency and scalability
  • Develop and implement growth strategies to expand service capacity and market share
  • Lead budgeting, cost optimization, and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Expand service offerings including corporate relocation, embassy moves, international household goods, and office relocations

2. Marketing & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies for Moving & Relocation services
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline targeting corporates, embassies, NGOs, airlines, real estate firms, and individual clients
  • Lead client engagements including presentations, site surveys, quotations, tenders, and contract negotiations
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with real estate developers, HR firms, diplomatic missions, and international relocation agents
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge

3. Operations Management

  • Oversee end-to-end relocation operations including site surveys, packing, loading, transportation, storage, delivery, and unpacking
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, customs requirements, and international moving protocols
  • Coordinate closely with customs clearance, freight forwarding, warehousing, and transport teams
  • Optimize utilization of labor, packing materials, vehicles, and equipment
  • Proactively manage and resolve operational challenges and customer escalations

4. Team Building & People Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop packing crews, supervisors, sales officers, and support staff
  • Build a performance-driven, disciplined, and customer-focused team culture
  • Define KPIs, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentoring
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and code of conduct

5. Customer Experience & Quality Assurance

  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through service excellence, proactive communication, and timely follow-up
  • Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and act on customer feedback to improve service delivery and operational efficiency

6. Reporting & Management Support

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in relocation services, logistics, or a similar environment
  • Proven experience in department setup, business development, and team leadership
  • Strong background in marketing, sales, and operations management
