About This Role
This role places you at the intersection of clinical science and compassionate patient care within a growing private healthcare facility in Addis Ababa. As a Physiotherapist at New Leaf Medical Complex, you will be expected to take ownership of each patient’s recovery journey—from initial assessment through to tailored treatment plans and ongoing progress evaluation. It is suited for a hands-on practitioner who thrives in a multidisciplinary setting and is comfortable working with a diverse caseload that includes post-surgical, injury-related, neurological, and chronic conditions.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The employer is looking for a clinician who can independently assess and adapt treatment strategies, not simply follow a fixed routine. The emphasis on “evidence-based rehabilitation programs” signals that they value critical thinking and current knowledge of physiotherapy techniques over years of experience alone. Candidates with 1–3 years of experience are likely expected to be confident in manual therapy and exercise prescription, yet still open to mentorship within a team of other healthcare professionals.
How to Approach This Application
Your application should highlight specific examples of how you have designed and adjusted treatment plans based on patient progress—avoid generic statements about being “passionate about helping people.” Emphasize your familiarity with common rehabilitation needs in Ethiopia, such as post-surgical recovery or chronic pain management, and mention any experience collaborating with other medical staff like orthopedists or neurologists. The employer will prioritize your ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, so include evidence of patient education or team-based care.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a physiotherapist with 1–3 years of clinical experience who is ready to work independently but within a supportive team environment. Given the specialized nature of the role and the private-sector setting, competition is moderate—well-prepared candidates with strong assessment and communication skills will stand out.
