ABYS Trading PLC is the leading Manufacturing Company of Ethiopia which manufactures agriculture products both for local and international markets. It has been active since 2012 and exports over 40 high quality value added agricultural products which meet world relevant standards to three main destination countries such as America, Canada and Australia and other locations. Moreover, it distributed such products to local market. Nowadays, in line with government trade, marketing and development strategies, it strives to produce world class products of having high demand. This effort has allowed it to start to generate foreign currency and create job opportunity for 500 Ethiopian youths. Now it is seeking a strategist and an exemplary Senior HR and Administration Officer to ensure its operations run smoothly and achieve its objective. The Senior HR and Administration Officer will be instrumental in the faultless running of the entire factory business and help keep factory’s staff happy and productive. The other Senior HR and Administration Officer will be based in Addis and function the same activities (but under the leadership of HR/Admin Director)
Key Responsibilities:
Planning /Administration/Compliance
- Support the development and implementation of HR/Admin strategies which aligned with ABAYS PLC’s goals
- Plan HR and administration activities (weekly/monthly/quarter, biannual and annual)
- Plan Factory’s workman ship needs
- Prepare annual HR/Admin budget and get approval (personnel, material, etc.)
- Oversee annual leave Plan of HR/Admin staff and encourage other departments to do the same
- Plan staff socialization program and implement as per its’ schedule
- Compile HR/Admin staff plan
- Manage HR recruitment, onboarding, development, implementation and safe exit procedures
- Ensure full compliance with factory policies and procedures
- Prepare monitoring plan and compile the monitoring pane of HR/Admin staff of the factory
- Manage employee relations
- Oversee the payroll OT, leave and other admin functions of the factory
Staff Development/Training
- Identify Knowledge, skill and behavioral gaps of staff and plan for relevant training
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to help them reach their potential and support the factory’s operations,
- Capacitate the team to improve their HR/Admin activities, quality reporting and on time communication
Performance Management
- Lead Annual/Biannual Staff Performance Management program
- Develop/update staff annual/biannual performance evaluation templates
- Set key performance objectives of HR/Admin Staff in collaboration with them; encourage other supervisors/managers and the factory to do the same
- Initiate annual/biannual staff performance evaluation program
- Orient staff on annual/biannual staff performance evaluation program
- Utilize Annual/Biannual Staff Performance Management results both for administrative and development purposes
- Document annual/biannual staff performance evaluation results on each individual personnel file
Report and Communication:
- Encourage two way and effective communication between/among staff
- Communicate factory’s goals to HR/Admin staff and influence them for it’s realization
- Summarize the activities of Sales and Marketing Teams and provide metrics that show their successes and describe their strategies for continued growth,
- Compile weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/biannually and annual reports of HR/Admin team
- Provide weekly update/progress to both Sululta and Addis management
- Maintain relationships with local communities/authorities by making effective communication on HR/Admin related matters
- Report annual/biannual staff performance evaluation results
- Exercise effective communication with staff both vertical and horizontal
- Prepare monitoring report and compile the monitoring report of HR/Admin staff of the factory and provide regular feedback to subordinates and supervisors,
Staff Management/Leadership
- Lead the HR and administration team
- Drive team to success with clear targets and high standards for profitability,
- Create conducive working condition for staff (work on retention target)
- Motivate staff to be innovative, creative and committed
- Influence staff on cost leadership
- Encourage staff on optimum recourse utilization (coordinated vehicle use etc)
Partnership Management:
- Keep smooth communication with external stockholders (candidates, local communities and regulatory bodies etc.)
- Exercise effective communication with staff both vertical and horizontal
- Create a good image of the factory on the communities mind through local staff
- Ensure factories protection via smooth HR/Admin management (exercise equal employment policy of the factory)

Requirements
Educational Background:
BA degree in Human Resource Management and Management
Experience:
- 4 years of experience in Human resource and administration operation,
- Strong knowledge of Labor / Social security /Tax administration and Tertiary Education, Proclamations; Revenue/Cost Sharing Rules and Directives,
- Strong Experience on pre Payroll data administration,
- Experience working with ERP systems and HR/Admin software,
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills,
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making,
- Ability to work under pressure, to manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in English, and Amharic ( For Addis Ababa Staff) and adding Afaan Oromo for Sululta staff
