Job Purpose

Support the Income Generation Lead by converting opportunities into revenue through technical sales support, BOQ preparation, estimation, proposal writing, tender support, supplier coordination, and client follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quotations for lighting, electrical, and selected MEP-related materials and project packages.
Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing comparisons.
Support turnkey proposals covering design, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Support material-supply-only quotations for contractors, developers, institutions, and resellers.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Prepare technical and financial proposal documents.
Coordinate with local suppliers to collect prices, datasheets, lead times, and alternatives.
Prepare product submittals, technical comparisons, and substitution proposals.
Track active inquiries, quotations, and bid deadlines.
Attend client meetings and site visits when required.
Respond to technical questions from clients, contractors, and internal team members.
Support prequalification and tender documentation.
Work with the Income Generation Lead to improve proposal quality, sales conversion, and pipeline visibility.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
1-3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, tendering, estimation, lighting projects, electrical materials, or MEP-related commercial work.
Strong experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, and quotation preparation.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Strong working knowledge of lighting and electrical materials used in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
Good command of Excel.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Strong written and spoken English and Amharic.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in government tenders or institutional procurement.
Experience in lighting design or exposure .
Familiarity with switchgear, panels, wiring accessories, pumps, ventilation products, and emergency systems.
Experience with CRM or quotation tracking tools.
