About This Role

This role is for an experienced pilot who is comfortable operating in remote, logistically demanding environments. Beyond just flying, you are expected to manage the full lifecycle of aviation operations in a specific park, from aircraft maintenance and facility oversight to fuel stock management and permit compliance. It suits a disciplined aviator who thrives on autonomy and is prepared to relocate temporarily to support other parks across the African Parks network.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The emphasis on "management" and "compliance" indicates the employer is seeking more than a pilot—they need a self-sufficient aviation manager who can operate without constant supervision. The seniority level (5-8 years) implies you should have a proven track record of safe flying in challenging terrain, not just flight hours logged. African Parks likely values pilots who can handle administrative and logistical duties, as these are critical for sustained operations in isolated locations like Gambela.

How to Approach This Application

Highlight your experience in managing aircraft and facilities independently, especially in low-resource settings. Emphasize your ability to stay compliant with both national regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). If you have worked in conservation or remote logistics, mention that explicitly. Show that you are adaptable and willing to relocate, as the role includes cross-park support.

Best Fit
