About This Role

This role is about ensuring that products leave the warehouse and reach customers exactly as promised — it’s not a desk job. You’ll be on the floor, directing order picking, packing, and loading, while also coordinating with transport teams to hit tight delivery windows. National Marketers PLC is a well-established FMCG distributor in Ethiopia, so the pace is fast and accuracy matters. It suits a logistics professional who thrives on operational discipline and real-time problem-solving.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The posting implies a need for someone who can enforce process rigor without being present at every step. They are looking for a supervisor who has spent years in outbound logistics, understands order fulfillment bottlenecks, and can manage both warehouse staff and drivers. The 98% OTIF target and GPS tracking mention suggest the employer values data-driven accountability and will expect you to use systems to monitor performance, not just rely on manual checks.

How to Approach This Application

Focus your CV and cover letter on specific examples where you improved on-time delivery rates or reduced picking errors in a high-volume warehouse. Emphasize any experience with fleet coordination, route planning, or using tracking software — even if it’s basic GPS tools. Since National Marketers is a local distributor, highlight your understanding of Addis Ababa delivery challenges and how you’ve handled them.
