Position Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all procurement and supply chain activities of the organization. The role involves ensuring timely procurement of goods, materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company policies and contractual obligations. The Procurement Manager will lead procurement operations, vendor management, contract negotiations, and inventory coordination to support organizational projects and operational requirements.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning and Management
Develop procurement plans, purchasing strategies, and sourcing schedules.
Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Coordinate procurement activities in line with organizational objectives and project timelines.
Monitor procurement performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
2. Vendor and Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Conduct supplier assessments and ensure supplier compliance with company standards.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms with suppliers.
Maintain an updated supplier database and procurement records.
3. Contract and Cost Management
Prepare and review procurement contracts, purchase orders, and agreements.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and procurement procedures.
Monitor procurement budgets and control purchasing costs.
Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement practices.
4. Inventory and Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper inventory management.
Monitor stock levels and ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials.
Ensure timely delivery and proper distribution of procured items.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.

6. Reporting and Documentation

Education

Experience
• Minimum of 15-20 years of relevant procurement and supply chain experience.
• At least 5-8 years in a managerial or supervisory procurement role.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or large-scale projects is highly preferred.
