Job Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Wolaita Sodo, South Ethiopia
Job Purpose:
To provide direct support for employee with disability enabling carry out his/her role effectively and independently. The Personal Assistant (PA) will facilitate access, communication, and other workplace professional tasks in alignment with the assigned employee needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with daily tasks that may include accessing and using computer systems, handling documents, note-taking, and scheduling meetings.
· Provide physical assistance for mobility and navigation around the workplace, if required.
· Support in attending meetings by taking notes, providing interpretation (if applicable), or ensuring information is accessible.
· Act as a liaison where necessary, ensuring effective communication between the staff member and colleagues/customers.
· Support the use of assistive technologies and communication devices.
· Help organize and maintain work-related files, emails, and schedules.
· Assist with reading, interpreting, or transcribing documents if needed.
Confidentiality and Dignity:
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personal and professional information.
· Uphold the dignity and independence of the staff member at all times.
Terms and Conditions:
· Salary and Benefits : as per FEAPD’s salary scale
· Until December 2026 with a possibility of extension based on performance and availability of Fund
Essential:
· A Minimum of first degree in Psychology, Sociology, Management or other related Social Science fields
· Experience or understanding of working with individuals with disabilities
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
· Willingness to assist physically with mobility, if required
· Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs throughout the workday.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of disability rights and inclusive development approaches.
· Knowledge of assistive technologies or adaptive equipment
· Training in first aid or disability support.
· Experience in an administrative or office-based setting including HR support.
· Fluency in Amharic is required; proficiency in reading and writing the Wolaita language is considered an asset
